Korea entry prep for your concert trip

If you need K-ETA, get approval before boarding for Korea. The temporary exemption for designated countries and regions runs through December 31, 2026 (KST). The e-Arrival Card is free, and valid K-ETA holders are exempt from submitting it.

Check your K-ETA exemption

K-ETA is advance travel authorization for eligible visa-free visitors. The temporary exemption for designated countries and regions is confirmed through December 31, 2026 (KST), but that extension does not confirm an exemption for 2027. In the official application, temporarily exempt passport holders see an exemption pop-up after scanning their passport information page.

  • Visitors aged 17 or younger are excluded from the K-ETA requirement.
  • Visitors aged 65 or older are also excluded.

Leave time for approval before your flight

If you are required to apply for K-ETA, you need approval before boarding for Korea. Immigration recommends applying at least 72 hours before boarding. The fee is KRW 10,000 per person. Approval normally lasts 3 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. Temporarily exempt visitors can also choose to apply and pay to receive benefits, including exemption from the arrival card.

Prepare your arrival details

You can submit the free e-Arrival Card starting 3 days before arrival, based on Korean Standard Time. Have your passport, arrival and departure details, purpose of entry, accommodation and contact information ready. You can edit the information before immigration inspection. Registered foreign residents, valid K-ETA holders and certain other categories are exempt from submitting an arrival card.
